VFX Supervisor

Sherry Hitch majored in Telecommunications at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and moved to LA in 1992. In LA, Sherry joined a new company of innovative desktop visual effects artists named Foundation Imaging in 1993, where she worked on several television projects, commercials and films and was nominated for 3 Academy of Television Science Emmy Awards™.

Sherry next joined ILM in January 2003 as a visual effects compositor. Sherry was Compositing Supervisor on “Now You See Me” and also on Ava DuVernay’s “A Wrinkle in Time”. In late 2019, Sherry was the visual effects supervisor for two commercials, one for the video game, “Jedi Fallen Order” and also for a Star Wars inspired commercial for Dannon Yogurt.

Sherry resides in the San Francisco Bay area with her wife and two dogs and is also an active member of Television Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Visual Effects Society, Women in Animation, and Women in Film.
